Yes, as I have mentioned time and again, my poor blog has fallen to the wayside. So much has been going on and life has been hectic. I had started an Introduction to Residential Interiors course at the Faculty of Extension, University of Alberta which had consumed most of my time with readings and challenging assignments. Now that I have completed the course, I was able to sit and pick up my scrapbook supplies again.
The December Challenge from the All About Me Challenge Blog is Your Brand. Be sure to check out the blog on the 15th, and participate in the challenge as there is an awesome prize to be won: The Uncertainty Kit from Scrapbooking From The Inside Out.
When I thought of my Brand, I thought long and hard about what that meant to me...what was my slogan or words that I identified with? And it came to me one day when I was called "Sunshine".
This word, this curious little nickname has followed me over the years with my teachers, family members, co-workers, and sometimes just complete strangers (!) calling me Sunshine or a Ray of Sunshine. I also knew that my husband to be at the time was a keeper when out of the blue called me Sunshine.
I love it when people call me by my nickname as it simply became symbolic of my personality - it is who I am.
My slogan is: Always Smiling, Joyful and Strives to See the Positive in All Things.
Colours: I selected warm and bright yellow and orange colours that represent my 'sunny' disposition.
Symbolism: Of course I had to use a sun in my layout, and used misting, doodling and masking to give a playful appearance to my layout.
Journaling: I guess that is why this nickname has stuck with me!
Were you given a nickname that has simply became representational of your personality? Of who you are? What kind of slogan would you give yourself as a result of your nickname?
Have fun!!
