It was wonderful to receive an email from Melissa for the opportunity to be a part of Scrapbooking From The Inside Out's 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop! This blog hop is special as it includes the new and current DT and past DT members.
If you arrived to my blog directly, you can start at Melissa's and participate in the hop. If you came from Pamela's blog, welcome!! Be sure to leave a comment on my blog to win some awesome prizes!!
SFTIO has been a huge part of my life over the past 2 years now and glad to still be a part of their community as a member. We were asked to pick one of our favourite layouts for the blog hop, but after creating over 80 layouts, it was just too hard to pin it down. So I created a collage of all my favourites using Picasa's collage generator.
I mixed my favourite layouts up so they are in no particular order...these are layouts that had a profound effect on my life and was all a part of my healing journey. Looking forward to the future, I am looking forward to taking classes, learning more about mixed media art and tackling a memory quilt. My parents saved all of my baby / children's clothing and brought it all out to where I live. As I can't keep everything, and I am pretty sure no one wants to dress their children in 70s clothing, I would like to create something that will be deeply personal and useful as well. It might be a quilt or it might end up being a piece of art as well...time will only tell. I have a wonderful idea in mind as to how to document this process and might consider keeping a blogging schedule to keep me accountable and motivated!
On the next blog hop stop head over to Laura's blog! Thanks for visiting!!

Wow, I need to learn how to do that, amazing collage, LOVE it, great work there.
I hope some day you'll share your memory quilt! It sounds awesome! My mother-in-law created quilts for both my kids using their grandpa's old overalls and flannel shirts. She created "country kids" on a solid white backing using his clothes. My daughter was born after her grandpa died, so this is a special way to connect with him. I hope your memory quilt turns out beautiful and full of meaning for you :)
